Product Use and Benefits
What is the ZypJyg, and what problem does it solve?
The ZypJyg is an Installation Tool for Roller Blind Systems, often described as "as close as I can give you to AI for installation of tracks". Its primary function is to hold the floating insert channels in the correct position during Zipscreen installation, which is typically the most critical and difficult part of the job. It enables installers to consistently achieve accurate track alignment.
Does ZypJyg work for Motorised, Crank and Spring Loaded Zipscreens?
Short answer is yes, however ZypJyg may not allow the bottom rail to pass them when using a spring system becuase the bottom rails are cut a bit longer by default which stops the bottom rail from passing them. You can still use ZypJygs but you need to get the tracks in and the fabric all the way down, then fix off each side the tracks one at a time, then remove ZypJygs and double check the final result then adjust if required.
Does ZypJyg work on eZip, Ziptrak, Urban Screen and others?
No, not yet - sorry! ZypJyg was designed for the Zipscreen system. We have tested others but we know it does not work for; Ziptrak, Urbanscreen.
How does the ZypJyg ensure a perfect, wrinkle-free installation?
The ZypJyg allows for functional testing of the complete blind system prior to final mounting. With the ZypJyg in place holding the channels tightly, you can run the system up and down to increase or decrease the tension until the fabric has no more wrinkles. Once perfect alignment is achieved, you retract the fabric and screw the channels together, guaranteeing you do not hit the fabric while fixing the tracks.
Is ZypJyg really 40% faster? How fast is ZypJyg compared to traditional installation methods?
The ZypJyg system is designed to allow installers to get about 50% more done, enabling systems to be installed twice as fast and twice as accurately. This efficiency gain helps save time and reduces labor costs. Some installers have reported that using the ZypJyg system saves them up to 66% of the time it used to take even though it doesnt' work on every possible installation type.
What is the ZypStk, and do I need it?
Need it? No. However, the ZypStk is an addition to the ZypJyg system. It is a spring-loaded handle that clips into the first ZypJyg. Using ZypStks ensures the correct height and placement for the first fixing point, starting the tape measure exactly 150 mm below the underside edge of the head box's end cap. This makes installation quick and simple and helps ensure adherence to strict warranty requirements regarding the first fixing point placement.
The ZypStk also quickly attaches the top or bottom of the ZypJygs to more easily push and pull them up and down after they have been clipped into the inner channel to ensure your fixing points are exactly where you want them to be.

Does ZypJyg work in every scenario?
No, some installs have such a severe inward taper of one or both channels that the ZypJygs will possibly come into contact with the bottom rail and stop it from passing them.
Tip: if you want to still use ZypJygs in these narrow scenarios, you can stagger the heights of the ZypJyg so that the bottom rail might pass them one-at-a-time. eg Move all the right hand channel ZypJygs up 100mm, to reduce the space taken from the bottom rail. Test and check fabric, then fix off left side then move the right side ZypJyg's back down 100mm, double check for wrinkles, then fix off the right channel. Failing this method, you can always move the fabric to the lower limit first, then clip on the ZypJygs, get the fabric perfect, fix them off then remove them.
Tip: Use two ZypJygs at the top and two and the bottom of the channels and then run the fabric up and down between them to help the fabric to settle in, then attach the remainder and install as normal.

Does ZypJyg guarantee adherence to manufacturer warranty fixing points?
The ZypStk addition ensures the correct placement for the first required fixing point (150 mm below the head box end cap). After that, the ZypJyg clips allow you to measure consecutive fixing points (typically every 500 mm or less) along the track easily. However, the tool itself does not guarantee full warranty adherence of all required fixing points to ensure warranty across the entire screen system.
Can I use rivets instead of screws with ZypJyg?
Yes, the ZypJyg is based around screw installation but also allows for rivet-based installation. However, the manufacturer specifies the use of self-tapping screws for attaching the inner tracks, as wind tunnel testing showed the riveted system failed at a much lower wind speed. If you choose to use rivets, you must remove the ZypJyg after the rivet hole has been drilled and the non-popped rivet is placed into the hole, before popping the rivet.
Why do you offer up to 8650mm drops when the tracks are only available in 5.8m extrusions?
Some of our customers have used the ZypJyg system on a Zipscreen Extreme with no headbox on a long drop with multiple channels lined up. The ZypJyg helps align the two butting extrusions better than can be done manually.
Purchase and Logistics
How many ZypJyg tools do I need for a job?
It is recommended to use our ZypJyg Calculator, but we suggest most customers to purchase 16 ZypJyg tools (8 for one side and 8 for the other). Based on track length, a 3650 mm track requires 16 ZypJyg's, and a 6150mm track requires 26 ZypJyg's.[Note: 5800mm is the maximum current extrusion length at time of posting this.]
Do you offer a trial period or money-back guarantee?
Yes, you can give the ZypJyg system a 30-day trial, and if you do not like the process, you can send them back for a full refund. [Return postage not included]
How do you handle shipping and freight costs?
We offer Free Delivery for all orders over $200 and for warranty replacements within Australia . However if urgent express freight is required, we add this cost $10 to any urgent replacement requests. This must be paid by the customer prior to shipping.
Do your gift cards expire?
No, our gift cards never expire.

What is the warranty, and what if I break a ZypJyg?
ZypJyg comes with a 3 month limited warranty per item. The material used is a carbon-fibre composite plastic. If there is a problem with a ZypJyg, you must provide a photograph of it and describe how the damage occured, and a replacement will be sent in the post. For urgent replacement requests, you must pay for express freight surcharge; otherwise, it will be sent via regular mail (Taking approximately 3 - 10 business days).
I've drilled into one of my ZypJygs and cracked it, what can I do?
We have designed the ZypJyg so that the 'handle' part can snap off and be re-attached. The thin 'fin' can be drilled into, sliced, cracked, split, bent or almost completely removed - and they should still keep working. In most cases, the warranty is voided when you drill into the device, but if you believe this to be a manufacturing fault or flaw in the product, please contact us via email with a few photos of the item and we will reply to you as soon as possible.
I accidentally bumped a ZypJyg and it came off the tape measure and is now lost, is this covered under warranty?
Sorry, you'll need to visit our online shop and purchase a replacement.
